BPT Model XL Welding Table — 3000×1500mm
Built for Industry
The BPT Model XL is our largest precision welding table — a 3000 × 1500 × 200mm industrial-grade work surface made in the UK, built for production environments that demand a serious datum plane and the load capacity to match.
Constructed from 12mm S275 mild steel throughout — top plate, sidewalls, and subframe — every component is CNC fibre laser cut to within ±0.2mm. At twice the plate thickness of our standard models, the XL is engineered for the heaviest fabrication work: structural steelwork, heavy plate, large frame assemblies, and high-cycle production environments.
The 28mm fixture hole system runs on a precise 100mm pitch across all five working faces, making the Model XL compatible with Siegmund, GPPH, and all major 28mm industrial clamping systems. If your workshop already runs 28mm tooling, the XL slots straight in.
At 3000 × 1500 × 200mm, the XL provides a full 4.5m² of usable datum surface. The 200mm-deep torsion-box subframe uses laser-cut interlocking ribs across the full depth, distributing load across the entire structure and delivering a rated capacity of 2,000kg evenly distributed — without flex, without sag.
Assembly uses the same tab and slot interlocking system as our smaller models — every panel locates positively before a bolt is tightened. Given the size, a two-person build is recommended. Or select Professional Assembly at checkout and it arrives fully built and tested, ready to drop into your workshop. Full instructions are in our assembly guide.
Designed and laser cut in the South-West of England. Delivered flat-packed on a pallet, nationwide. Need a smaller table? See the Model L — 2400 × 1200mm or Model S — 1200 × 800mm. Not sure which table is right for you? Read our welding table buyer's guide.
Specifications
What Sets Us Apart
16mm diameter holes on a precise 50mm pitch across all five working faces. Compatible with all 16mm clamping systems out of the box.
Every table kit is CNC Fibre LASER cut to within ±0.2mm dimensional tolerance. No rocking, no twist — a reference-quality datum surface for repeatable precision work.
Designed and manufactured in the heart of the South-West using British S275 structural steel.
Bolt-on extensions, risers, angle plates, and vice mounts available. The Model L & Model S are the core of an entire fixturing ecosystem — grow your setup over time without buying new.
The traditional oiled, RAW finish reduces spatter adhesion significantly. Cleans in seconds with a wire brush. No painted surface to burn off.
Arrives flat packed on a wooden pallet. Our tab and slot design allows for an easy and precise assembly process.
Reviews
"Had our Model L for 6 months now. Flat as the day it arrived, no warping, no rust despite a damp workshop. We've thrown everything at it — heavy plate, pipe, structural. Wouldn't swap it for anything."
"We purchased three for our training department. The build quality is exceptional — students feel the difference versus budget tables immediately. Good communication from order to delivery."
"Delivery was on time, packaged brilliantly on a pallet. Didn't take too long to assemble. The surface finish is mint — much more precise than what I had before. Worth every penny."
"Bought the Model S for my home workshop. Perfect size, incredibly rigid for the footprint. Assembly was straightforward with the tab and slot system — had it done in under 2 hours solo."
"Upgraded from a cheap Chinese table. Night and day difference. The fixture holes are spot on and everything clamps up perfectly first time. Should have bought this from the start."
"Solid table, great value. Only reason for 4 stars is delivery took a couple of days longer than quoted — but BPT kept me updated throughout. Table itself is absolutely spot on."
"Running a busy fabrication shop and this table gets hammered daily. Six weeks in and the surface is still dead flat. The 5-face fixture grid makes positioning a breeze — the lads love it."
"Got the Model S for TIG work on stainless. The surface flatness is genuinely impressive at this price. Clamps locate perfectly every time. Compact enough for my one-man setup but feels like a proper professional table."
"Took the plunge on the Model L after umming and ahhing for months. Best workshop investment I've made. Build quality is excellent and it went together exactly as described. Fast delivery too."
"Wanted something compact for motorcycle frame work. The Model S is perfect — rigid, accurate, and the RAW oiled finish handles spatter exactly as advertised. Cleaned up easily with a wire brush."
"Ordered for our apprenticeship workshop. Students are learning on a proper surface for once — makes a real difference to the quality of their work. The 16mm system is compatible with all the clamps we already had."
"Exceptional British engineering at a fair price. The torsion-box design is noticeably stiffer than anything I've used before. Arrived well packaged, instructions were clear, and the finished table is rock solid."
FAQ
What's the lead time for delivery?
Standard tables are typically dispatched within 5–7 working days. Large or custom orders may take 2–3 weeks. We'll confirm your lead time at the point of order confirmation. We ship on our own pallet network across mainland UK.
Is the table compatible with European clamping systems?
Yes. Our tables use 16mm diameter holes on a 50mm pitch — the industry standard shared by most other European modular fixturing brands.
Are legs included?
Yes. All tables include legs — 70×70×3mm steel RHS. The Model L includes 6 leg steels; the Model S includes 4. Leg mounting plates and all fixings are included for assembly. Leg steels are supplied unpainted. Tabletop height is made to order — specify your required working height at the time of ordering.
Can I order a custom size?
Absolutely. We can accommodate non-standard sizes, heights, and configurations. Contact our team with your requirements for a custom quote. Bespoke tables typically add 2–4 weeks to lead time.
What thickness is the tabletop?
The standard tabletop is 6mm mild steel, LASER cut for accuracy and precision per EN10029. We offer upgrade options to a Pro-surface; 8mm, 10mm or a 12mm surface retaining the 6mm sub structure to keep the weight and cost down.
What does the warranty cover?
Our warranty covers structural integrity — any cracking, deformation, or failure of panels or frame under normal working loads. Surface wear and cosmetic finish are not covered.
Is the table supplied assembled?
No. Our tables are supplied as flat-packed kits, ready for assembly by you.
What if I need parts replaced in 5 years?
We manufacture in the UK and hold laser programs for every panel we've ever cut. If you need a replacement surface, rib section, or leg component — even years down the line — we can cut and dispatch it. There's no proprietary supply chain to fail you.
This is a meaningful advantage over import tables, where replacement parts are typically unavailable, and over some European brands where lead times and logistics costs make repairs impractical for UK customers.
Why should I buy this over the £400 VEVOR / £3,500 Siegmund?
Honest answer: it depends on your requirements. Here's a direct comparison:
| VEVOR (~£400) | BPT (~£1,000–£1,700) | Siegmund (~£3,500+) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flatness tolerance | ±2mm or worse | ±0.2mm | ±0.5mm |
| Hole system | 16mm / 50mm pitch | 16mm / 50mm pitch | 28mm system (separate tooling) |
| Surface thickness | 4–6mm (often stamped) | 6mm laser-cut (8/10/12mm upgrades) | 8–15mm |
| Structural design | Thin-walled frame | Torsion-box rib structure | Solid plate / rib |
| UK lead time | 4–8 weeks (import) | 5–7 working days | 4–12 weeks |
| Replacement parts | Typically unavailable | Yes — cut to order | Available, expensive |
| Made in | China | UK (Somerset) | Germany |
The VEVOR is fine for light hobby use where flatness doesn't matter. The Siegmund is excellent but at 2–3× our price, with tooling that won't work with most UK workshops' existing clamps. BPT sits between: professional-grade accuracy and a UK supply chain, at a price that makes sense for fabricators and small workshops.
