I'm an aircraft engineer by trade, based in the South-West, UK. Outside of work, I'm a fabricator through and through — spending most of my spare time in the workshop building, welding and undertaking a variety of engineering projects.

BPT started because I needed a proper welding table and couldn't find one. Everything available was either a cheap import that flexed under load, or a European brand charging £3,000+ with a 12-week lead time. Neither made sense.

So I designed one — torsion-box construction, CNC fibre laser cut from British S275 structural steel, 16mm fixture grid on a 50mm pitch. The kind of table I'd want to use myself, at a price that doesn't require a business case to justify.
