The Price on the Site Is the Price
People ask occasionally whether we have a Black Friday deal coming, or whether there's a discount for trade customers, military, or schools. Here's the honest answer.
We don't discount. The price on the site is the price — for everyone, every day of the year.
Why Not?
Our Prices Are Already Set Fairly
The Model S is £749. The Model L is £1,699. Those numbers reflect the actual cost of British S275JR structural steel and CNC fibre laser cutting to ±0.2mm tolerances. There's no fat built in to give away at Christmas.
Discounting Sends the Wrong Signal
If we knocked £200 off the Model L next month, the honest question is: why wasn't it £1,499 to begin with? Either the original price was fair or it wasn't. We think it was. A promotional discount doesn't change what the table costs to make — it just means someone who bought last week paid more than they needed to. That's not how we want to treat customers.
A Welding Table Is a Long-Term Purchase
This is the one that matters most. If you buy a BPT table today, you should be able to sell it in five years and recover most of what you paid — because the price was never inflated to make room for fake discounts. What you paid was what it was worth. You rarely see quality welding tables appearing on Facebook Marketplace at a loss, and that's not an accident.
What We Do Instead
The money we'd spend on promotions, discount administration, and seasonal marketing goes into making the product better. Better laser tolerances. Certified S275JR steel. Packaging that means your table arrives undamaged. That's a better use of it than a 15% off code that disappears in 48 hours.
We also don't have a sales team or a marketing department generating cost that has to be recovered somewhere in the margin. BPT is built and run by an engineer in Somerset. The pricing reflects that.
What About Trade and Volume?
If you're buying multiple tables for a workshop, training centre, or apprenticeship scheme — get in touch. We'll have a conversation. That's a different situation from a promotional discount, and we're happy to discuss it directly.
Is There Any Reason to Wait?
No — and there's potentially a reason not to. Steel prices move. When our underlying costs increase and we feel they've reached a new level, our prices follow. They've only ever gone up. If you need a table, the price today is the best we can offer.
If you're still weighing up whether a precision welding table is the right investment, our welding table buyer's guide covers everything — flatness tolerances, steel grades, hole systems, and how BPT compares to European competitors.
